Might I recommend Anthony Bourdain to all creatives, the man has such a unique perspective about life. And since a lot of our creative stems from the world around us, I think his series No Reservations is great to inspire. Real people, real stories, real food, an opportunity to explore the world from your home. Nature, structures, and colors you might've never knew existed. (It isn't too hard to pirate but for streaming it is on Max)
Great list! I'm doing most of them, the yoga has slipped due to my chronic illness flare up this past year or so, but still on everything else. I'm really enjoying playing with notebook paint doodling. Thanks for the restacks!
I do quite a few of these but I do need to focus more on mindfulness.
For number one, I keep an “everything journal,” as I call it. Having TOO many notebooks/sketchbooks overwhelms me, so I only keep a few.
My everything journal is my safe haven: within its pages I sketch, doodle, write poetry, write about my day or observations, collage, jot down ideas and lists, and keep a monthly calendar and do my weekly planning in it.
Then I have a sketchbook for brainstorming design projects, and a sketchbook for more focused drawing practice like anatomy studies or perspective drawings. Whenever I’m working on a writing project, I’ll use a cheap notebook to plan it out (mind maps, character profiles, outlines, etc.).
Seems like a lot but this system I created was figured out through trial and error, and it’s been working well for me. I’m curious to know what system everyone else has created for themselves in terms of keeping an art journal/sketchbook.
Excuse my rambling, I could talk about this all day lol.

Thank you for engaging! Np :)
100% agree. Plus do nothing and touch grass. It's super great to boost creativity ✨
