Hi, so you would have to put your beautiful poem that you put above as a POST on your Substack. What you did above was a comment on a post. When you create the post you can AT the ARTSTACK and then when you’re about to finalize posting, there should be an option to tag. Dignity's Weight
Atlas bore the world, yet so do we,
Shoulders heavy, histories crammed in silos,
Each trauma a layer, a cry unheard,
Echoing through the hibernation of our hearts.
Body remembers where the mind forgets,
A silent embodiment of pain and resilience,
Frequently, we trade peace for mere survival,
An understatement to call it endurance.
But what of dignity, the tender right to stand,
Free from the weight of shame’s imposition?
It whispers through the cracks of our mindset,
A voice rising, though long buried.
In its light, we find strength not in carrying,
But in knowing when to set the burden down.
To cry, not in despair, but in release—
And call that freedom by its name.
This is so beautiful, thank you for sharing!
Jess, I really appreciate your kind words and am glad mine found resonance within you.
**The Eucharis Lily**
From long hibernation through
blissful negation of
the winter’s chill,
the Eucharis Lily stirs
her bulbous body in confines
of an abode of a pot;
Setting free the embodied energy
of a wuthering cry,
buried deep inside,
in silo, but for its
connection to the soil;
Awakened by
the waning winter’s sun’s
frequent murmurings of her rights —
a soft sigh pressing its way in through
the chaos outside.
Rising tall on
her stalky legs,
her strong shoulders now un-
taut, separated
from the weight
of the throat’s knot;
Un-furling
pearlescent glow of a gossamer’s
feather-feel;
Still, with the faintest hint
of a fragrance,
she bows down
her head in humility
to the sun of the spring,
as if in a candid
understatement
of inner peace.

Ohk! Thanks so much for responding with clarity… I’m so social media illiterate😅. Next one I’ll attempt it the way you have described.
Thank you for these words & this prompt!! https://open.substack.com/pub/whitemessexpress/p/white-lies?r=4q3n2o&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true
Thank you for being a source of inspiration. 💫
Have you guys been getting my tags in my posts? I’ve been tagging you, but thinking I may be tagging wrong.
No, we haven’t. When you tag us make you click what comes and make sure it’s highlighted so it will notify us.
Okay I’ll work on that. Thank you!
The body, in hibernation has rights to be free, and shoulders a silo full of understatement. In peace, I cry frequently.

Those screw ups big or small
she took them all
always on her head
those moments of dread
From day one
a big mark
the target
never forget
so long ago
you will never let it go
so small
She took the fall
emotional pain ran deep
charred memories to keep
her body raw
another flaw
add more salt
it’s your fault!
I scream and cry in visceral pain
from a place I didn’t think I’d go again
Memories got colder
please don’t put this on my shoulder
No more sarcasm
while in this chasm
and saying it was a joke
that was the straw that broke
I’m not ok
It’s not about you today
My joint drops tomorrow in the early hours. Thanks I had fun!
